| Velammal Vidyalaya was established in 2008.The School is named after
Smt Velammal, the simple,noble lady, the revered mother of the School
Chairman, Shri M.V. Muthuramalingam. The School is governed by the
Chairman, at the helm and by his three sons - Mr.M.V.M. Velmurugan, the
CEO, Mr.M.V.M. Velmohan, the Correspondent and Mr.M.V.M. Sasi Kumar,

HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL
Smt Velammal, born in a small hamlet, near Madurai ardently desired for
something more than just a virtuous life of comfort for her children. The
visionary gleam in her, made her inspire her children to think beyond the
mundane life of survival, to a life of lighting up lives and shaping nation
builders. She had sown the pearly wisdom and her son
Mr. Muthuramalingam, reverentially gave expression to his mother's dream
by founding Velammal Educational Trust in the year 1986.
The renowned Trust has been serving the cause of education for these 23
years, through 10 Matriculation & Higher Secondary schools and 4
Engineering colleges. The most commendable feature being – the school
has nurtured a maximum number of first generation learners.
Velammal Vidyalaya founded in 2008, is the first School of the Velammal
Educational Trust, that is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary
Education, New Delhi. The School has classes from LKG to Class VIII.
